\begin{abstract}
In this paper generalizing the concept of prime, semiprime and irreducible
ideals in ternary semigroups we introduce prime left, semiprime left and
irreducible left ideals in ternary semigroups. We study different types of
ternary semigroups by the properties of their prime left, semiprime left and
irreducible left ideals. We also characterize those ternary semigroups for
which each left ideal is semiprime left.
